The short version: we collect almost nothing. The scholarship checker quiz runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are never sent to any server — they live only on your device for the duration of your visit and disappear when you close the tab.

This information is collected by our hosting provider (Netlify) as standard server logs and is used only for diagnosing technical issues. We do not use it to identify individual users.
Your quiz answers never leave your browser. The entire matching process happens in JavaScript running on your device. We do not receive, store, or process your answers on any server. When you close the tab, everything is gone.
This means we genuinely do not know which scholarships you were matched with, what your category is, what country you are going to, or anything else you entered into the quiz. It is technically impossible for us to know.
Our site contains links to external websites including official scholarship portals (daad.de, chevening.org, etc.), GyanDhan for education loans, and Bold.org for micro-scholarships. When you click these links, you leave our site and are subject to those websites' own privacy policies. We have no control over and no responsibility for their privacy practices.
The GyanDhan link is an affiliate/referral link. If you take an education loan through that link, we may receive a small referral fee from GyanDhan. This does not change the cost to you in any way, and your data is governed by GyanDhan's privacy policy.
We do not use cookies on this website. No cookies are set, read, or stored on your device when you visit ScholarMatch India.
We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how many visitors come to the site and which pages are most useful. If analytics are used, they will be configured to anonymise IP addresses and will not track individual users across sessions or sites.
ScholarMatch India is intended for students aged 17 and above planning higher education abroad. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, please contact us and we will take immediate steps to remove it.
