Is this tool really free? Is there a catch?
▾
Completely free. No email, no signup, no premium tier. We earn a small referral fee when students use the GyanDhan education loan link shown after results — that's how the site stays free. The scholarship results themselves are never influenced by this.
How accurate are the scholarship matches?
▾
The tool matches based on the 5 profile questions. It shows scholarships where you meet the basic criteria. Always verify full eligibility on the official scholarship website before applying — some awards have additional requirements like work experience or minimum GPA not captured in our quick quiz.
Can I really apply for multiple scholarships at the same time?
▾
Yes — and you should. Most scholarships only prohibit holding two fully-funded government scholarships simultaneously (like Chevening + Fulbright). Indian private scholarships, state government schemes, and micro-awards can almost always be stacked with each other and with foreign government awards. Read our full stacking guide for details.
I am SC/ST/OBC — are there special scholarships for me?
▾
Yes — several of the most valuable scholarships are specifically for SC/ST/OBC students. The National Overseas Scholarship (NOS) from the Indian government is one of the best — it covers full tuition plus a monthly living allowance for SC/ST/OBC students going abroad. The Dr Ambedkar Interest Subsidy Scheme is also available. Select your category in the quiz and the tool will show you category-specific awards.
What are micro-scholarships and are they worth applying for?
▾
Micro-scholarships are small awards of $100–$2,000 that most students ignore because they seem "not worth it." This is a mistake. A $500 scholarship takes 2 hours to apply for and saves you the equivalent of 50+ hours of minimum wage work abroad. Applied for monthly, 2–3 wins per year adds ₹1–3 lakh to your funding with minimal effort. We highlight all stackable micro-awards in your results.
My state is not mentioned — can I still use this?
▾
Absolutely. Most scholarships in our database are open to Indian citizens from any state. The state government overseas scholarship section covers Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and others — but if your state is not listed, check your state's education department website directly as over 18 states have their own schemes.
